LECTURES
Mr. Fauzi taught us how to give color to black and white pictures with different methods like overlay. It gives bland pictures some life and it is very interesting.

PRACTICAL
Exercise 1
We were given the task to give color to a black and white picture of an old man, so first i started by doing the skin, eyes, lips, and hair, with their own individual layers. I use the soft light and overlay blending to give me a decent result and tweak the opacity as well.

after that is done, i start coloring the background color with blue and the collar as well with the color brown, gave them the overlay blending option.

Exercise 2
So for the second exercise, we were tasked to color a black and white picture of a lady and also another black and white picture that we choose later on using other colored images as a color reference.
Figure 3.4 Cropping process
After giving color to the black and white lady, i chose a black and white obama picture as the next object to color. I started by finding a colored picture of obama online as color reference.

Next i moved on to carefully cropping the face, hair and background using refine edge tool as well to make it more better.

After that, i gave color to the American flag at the collar and also giving the lips a pale pink color using a brush and also the overlay blending option.
