LECTURES

Mr. Fauzi gave us an idea of what digital surrealism, realism, and dadaism. Surrealism is something that looks real but its not real and the reason for that is because surrealism defies logic, it makes a twist to realism or distorts it. Realism is something more closely tied to reality, it is not something that is extraordinary or different, but something that we can see in our everyday lives. Dadaism is art in a non sensical way and not natural.

PRACTICAL

There are several pictures that i used for this exercise, where they will make up several different things for the image.

My idea for this particular exercise is to make a cool looking view with a hill and trees, first i start by making the ground by cropping an image that contains a proper looking flat terrain.

After that i moved on to cropping an image for the sky and made some changes to the hue and saturation of the sky so that it looks more like a cyan blue.

Next, i moved on to cropping a hill for the background and made some color corrections to it.

For the next step, i used an image that Mr. Fauzi gave us from the previous task for the trees. I cropped it and put some colors on it by using a green color brush on another layer and gave it an overlay blending option to it.

After that i added some more elements like clouds and birds so that the image is not too empty. I made the clouds in different opacity so that there is variety. Next is to make the quote in adobe illustrator and then after that move on to the next step which is placing pictures of me.

I added 3 images of myself on the image, i cropped them and placed them around the letters. I added some noise to it and match their colors.

After that i added shadows to myself to make it more believable by using a drop shadow and making that drop shadow its own individual layer and making some adjustments to its opacity and after that its done.

REFLECTION

This exercise really challenged me in almost every way possible, it was a really fun journey trying to apply everything that i have learned over the pass few months to this one project. The possibilities were endless and are only limited by our minds, i was really happy with myself because i manage to make something that i am proud with.
