Lalin Color Grading & Color Correction

I didn't realized that we need to put the sound effects and the message images during the ripple edit tool assignment, so I quickly put it in as well as inserting a soft background sound so that it is proper for the next step which is color correction and color grading. Starting with the color correction, I changed the temperature to give it a warmer look, I made some changes to the contrast, shadows, whites and also the saturation.

Next, for the color grading, I added some more warm look to further enhance it as well as adjusting the highlights and shadows.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

Shooting

So we begin the process by shooting the scenes at several different locations, next after shooting we exported the audios and videos to adobe premiere to begin the syncing process.

Syncing Audio with Video

We sorted out the audios and videos because there were a lot takes. The syncing process is very simple and straightforward because there wasn't a lot clips as half of them don't require audios.

Trailer

We were assign to make a trailer from the clips that we shot back in university and so I choose the clips that I wanted to use, gave it some dip to black effects, played around with the order and gave it a background music as well as some words/sentences.

Color Grading and Color Correction

I did some color correction to the clips as the next process to the trailer. I made the video more warm, fixed the exposure, shadows, whites and blacks.

Figure 2.9 Color correction

As the final step, i did some color grading. I used a range of combinations for each of the scene that i used such as desaturation, bluish cold, teal and orange, greenish cold, and brownish warm.

REFLECTION

A very fun project, all of the assignments were very exhilarating. So far this is the most enjoyable one because we get a glimpse of how the movie industry works. I've been looking forward to it because I have a soft spot when it comes to movies and such, so this one definitely left a mark.
