TASK

So for the final task, I need to create a profile page for my splash art. I wanted to go with a simple major character introduction/monument profile design where there are runic carvings and such. For the font, I'm aiming to go with an old norse looking font to further reinforce the idea so that it ties in easily.

I quickly made a rock/pillar design for my first step that will be a placeholder for my characters name.

Next, I added in the text "VARN THE CHIEFTAIN" using a norse font that i found online. I also painted around the letters and erasing some of the letters so that it has a carving/cracking effect.

After that I added in a rock texture by using softlight and then then it's done.

For the background I use a rough looking texture so reinforce the rugged look.

I then placed in an image of runes and then set it to overlay, after that it is finished.

I also added in a God of War logo on the bottom so that it looks like a somewhat more of a proper profile.

REFLECTION

What an ending to this module! I would like to really thank Mr. Fitri, as I think he really taught me well throughout this whole semester. Though this module is really challenging in some aspects, it is quite balanced compared to the other modules, which makes it enjoyable. At first I thought we were going to do 3D for the final task, and I was quite sad when I realized that this module was going to be purely 2D, but now I'm actually really glad there is no 3D, as I probably would get absolutely destroyed because the vehicle designs final task actually made me think twice about going to college because of the difficulty it presents. I learned so much in such a short period of time, and I was able to improve in many different aspects, and I hope that I can continuously improve. Overall, I will be looking back at this module and remembering the ups and downs that I experienced because I genuinely enjoyed the ride.
